Loren Rourke, MD, MHCM, FACS

SVP & Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Rourke is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist with extensive experience building comprehensive multidisciplinary breast programs in community, academic, and hybrid environments. She has dedicated her career to ensuring patients receive exceptional care in a compassionate and informative atmosphere.

Dr. Rourke completed her general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and the Susan G. Komen Interdisciplinary Breast Fellowship at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. She was faculty at MD Anderson and in that role established MD Anderson’s first regional multidisciplinary community breast program. She most recently earned her Master’s in Healthcare Management from the Harvard T.C. Chan School of Public Health.

Prior to joining the Bexa team, Dr. Rourke served as the Chief Surgical Officer and VP Clinical Operations for McKesson’s US Oncology Network, a role dedicated to the improvement and strategic development of surgical services, nursing, advance care providers and centralized programs across the Network. Dr. Rourke continues to practice part time in the Woodlands, TX.
