David Ables
Chief Operating Officer
David Ables has spent his career finding new and innovative ways to use pressure-sensing technology to create transformative devices in medicine and industry.
Prior to Sure, Inc., Mr. Ables served as CTO of Pressure Profile Systems, Inc., a company he helped grow from its earliest stages to establish itself as the industry leader in capacitive tactile sensing technology while helping to develop the new field of pressure elastography. At PPS, Mr. Ables led R&D efforts in instrumentation, medical devices, and consumer electronics and served as a featured expert on the television series “SportScience” and “FightScience.” During this time, he led an internationally distributed team to bring together the vision, architecture, and technology to develop the modern Bexa device, software, and overall ecosystem.
As Chief Operating Officer and founding member of Sure, Inc., Mr. Ables oversees all activities for the continued development and production of Bexa and quality and regulatory affairs while continuing to push Bexa™’s revolutionary technology to further our vision to save lives through early breast cancer detection.
A former Teach For America Corps Member, Mr. Ables holds degrees from Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He lives in Westchester County, New York, with his wife – award-winning podcaster Margaret Ables – and their three children.
