Dr. Monique Gary, DO, MSc, FACS, FSSO
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Gary completed her medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and her general surgery training at UMass, followed by Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital. She holds multiple faculty appointments as a clinical Associate Professor in Surgery at PCOM and Temple University and is an adjunct Associate Professor for Health Equity within the Dartmouth Institute for Health at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology and holds a master’s degree in molecular biology.
Dr. Gary is a member of the American Cancer Society’s National Breast Cancer Roundtable, past member of the Board of Directors for the American Society of Breast Surgeons and past chair of the Young Surgeons Working Group. “Dr. Mo” is a key opinion leader and medical advisor for industry as well as cancer advocacy organizations including Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Breastcancer.org, Tigerlily Foundation, Unite 4 Her, Touch, the Black Breast Cancer Alliance and more. She is published in peer reviewed journals annually, and her clinical practice and research specializes in oncoplastic and minimally invasive breast cancer surgery, global cancer genetic risk assessment, disparities research, and cancer nutrition and prevention.
